Microsoft is too lazy to make exclusives
In a recent article from Craveonline discussed an interview that Phil Spencer had with the people at Eurogamer. Saying basically that, Phil Spencer is a fan of Uncharted and wanted a game on Xbox One sort of like that series. So instead of spending money on a new IP action/adventure series they decided to steal an established multiplatform game "Tomb Raider" to compete with Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End.
My Thoughts on this are basically, why is Microsoft so lazy? Microsoft has all this money "supposedly" and they don't do anything to invest or take risks with it? Phil Spencer in my opinion has done a great job with the Xbox One trying to turn it around to make it appeal to gamers but again why not just make your own exclusive action/adventure game to compete with Uncharted 4? Are they this lazy? This here just proves how Microsoft is completely out of touch with gaming and gamers, instead of investing a New IP that they own exclusively too, they decided to take Square Enix's & Crystal Dynamic's IP and throw them a few bucks for a timed exclusive? This proves right here that Microsoft has no interests in gaming and just wants to use gaming & gamers in order to get a few extra dollars. If Microsoft truly wanted to do good for this industry they would invest more into their own First Party IPs and less into timed exclusive content & IPs owned by other developers. Microsoft earns no respect once again for doing this, just proving once again that they are lazy and pathetic when it comes to exclusivity deals. I got nothing against Phil Spencer but again if you truly wanted to compete with an IP like Uncharted on PS4, then just make your own dang IP to compete with the series. Instead of stealing other IPs owned by other companies.
That's my thoughts on the matter, so what do you guys think? Do you think Microsoft did good? Or do you think what Microsoft did was another BS, anti consumer move?
