5) Lack of Content on the service, so far you can purchase EA Access for $30 a year for 4 games total so far. EA says they will add more to the service later on but do you really think/trust EA to periodically add games to EA Access day one release? Or even maybe 2 weeks after release?
No, my thoughts on the matter is you will probably have to wait several months to a year in order to get it free on EA Access. And my question is are you really going to want to wait for a game to be free? Or would you rather go out and buy it day one? When thinking Long term about this service it would seem that you will end up paying more for a service then what you are getting out of it.
4) Only offers EA games, here is another downside it only has EA games available. And since when has their been a good EA game with no bugs, glitches, etc? Madden? nope. NBA Live? don't make me laugh. Battlefield? Battlefield 4 was buggy as hell and Battlefield Hardline is a rip off DLC for $60 that actually works. Mass Effect? Mass Effect 3 ending was poorly rushed versus previous games which were more well done. Dead Space? Dead Space 3 ruined the Dead Space franchise horrible sequel. Sim City? Biggest f*ckery by EA to screw gamers over.
In my opinion unless you are like a diehard EA fan, it really isn't worth getting right now.
3) PS Plus by far offers a better value to consumers. Reasons are, 2 free games a month across PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, and plus they normally give you a PS Vita game that is cross buy so you can get 3 games on PS3 or PS4 as well sometimes. Exclusive discounts and access to betas, timed trials, etc. You also get games from a variety of different publishers not just from EA or Sony. Long term, PS Plus is a great value to consumers. Even Xbox Live Gold holds more greater value then EA Access does. Just saying, I recommend gamers looking for a subscription service to get Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus over EA Access you will get you're moneys worth out of these two services versus EA Access.
2) PS Now as well is a far better offer to consumers then EA Access. Reasons why is because it offers you $5 a month to access for up to 90 days unlimited access to stream games from PS1, PS2 and PS3 libraries. Also Sony has announced their working on a subscription service for gamers can access all content unlimited amount and unlimited amount of content to stream games from PS1, PS2 and PS3 libraries on your PS4. And also contains games from a variety of different publishers and developers giving gamers more diversity and choices when deciding what games they want.
1) This reason seems to be the most overlooked, this is Electronic Arts were talking about! Hello! Wake Up Gaming community! EA is one of biggest publishers that is constantly screwing over gamers with Day One DLC, patches, buggy/glitchy games, unfinished games, games that are not worth $60 brand new, etc.
The only reason to ever look into a service like this is if you are just a huge fan of EA's IPs and feel it is worth tremendous value to you the consumer then don't say I didn't warn you. Even if you are a diehard fan of EA this deal right here still should be a huge rip off regardless. Just look at all the other reasons and you will see that this service "EA access" is a complete scam to milk more money out of gamers pockets when we could just simply buy games day one and play our games day one instead of having to wait for a certain amount of time to get a game for free. But I guess you have to be that self entitled to want to wait for games to be free instead of buying games with your own money because your passionate for gaming.
